Welcome back to school, and Happy New Year!
We hope you had a happy and restorative break with your family. We are off to a great start for 2025 and it has been wonderful to welcome your children back to school. January is a busy month for teachers, as they are preparing student Report Cards. Report Cards are an official document that represents the summary of learning outcomes from the Alberta Curriculum, in relation to an individual student's achievement. Please know that you do not have to wait to learn more or ask questions about your child's learning--you can reach out to teachers at any time. Report Cards give families a snapshot of student learning, and are to be understood as a learner's progress to date, as well as to outline next steps for them in their learning. Report Cards will be available online on January 27, and can be accessed via your MyCBE account. January 28 marks the first official day of Semester 2 for this school year. Please contact the office if you need support with your MyCBE account.
Here are some important dates to consider for January:
January 13:
- CBE 2025-2026 Kindergarten Registration Begins (online)
Children must be 5 on or before December 31 to be eligible for Kindergarten
January 15:
- Bottle Drive (8:30am)
- Fun Lunch
- School Council Meeting (6:30pm in-person or online). Everyone is welcome!
Jan 30:
- Popcorn Snack
Jan 31:
- Non-Instruction Day (no school for students)
